If you are trying to find boat jobs, you may find online crewing agencies by far the easiest and cheapest way to do this.

Searching websites like this is one type of online crew finder service. This is not an agency and we will not actively match crew and employers, however we provide you with a window to the online world to advertise yourself.

Other sites (which usually charge fees) will physically try to match with vessels and employers who  they have on their books.  These employers will either pay the website or agency a finder fee based on perhaps a percentage of your salary or other sites rely on the sailing crew paying a small charge and will not charge the employers.

Maritime jobs are available all over the world on may types of boat and if you are prepared to travel you should spend time researching what is available.

When using a website to find contacts, always be aware of the many scams which exist.  Many "agencies" claiming to be based in Nigeria or which require some kind of "deposit" up-front should always be treated with the maximum caution. How to use Crewfile
If you just want to browse then visit http://www.crewfile.com and either page through the listings, or click on the "Advanced Search" menu and enter more specfic information to help you find what you are looking for. When you find a listing of interest either make contact using the details provided or, if you see no contact information, click on the "Register" link and register yourself. (Use the "hidden" category if you are wanting to post). Once you've registered and logged in you can click on the "Send email" link above user's profiles to contact them.

If you want to advertise yourself click on the "Register" link and register yourself. This will list your profile in the category you choose. Remember, you can always log in and click the "Unregister" link to remove your entry and you can also edit your profile at any time to change your information.
