Some simple FAQs:

1) Are you an agency?

No - we don't charge, don't actively place you or identify job candidates.  All we do is provide you with an internet presence to advertise.  For free.

2) What scams should I be aware of?

When using a website to find contacts, always be aware of the many scams which exist.  Many "agencies" claiming to be based in Nigeria or which require some kind of "deposit" up-front should always be treated with the maximum caution. Follow the linnk for more information on "advance fee fraud" or the "419 scam".

3) What should I put on my posting or advert?

Any information that you think will help your cause.  Is the position you are advertising for particularly attractive? Do you have any skills or qualifications that no other candidates will have? Are you outgoing?  Is the salary good? etc. etc.

4) Will my posting appear immediately?

Yes, unless in some situations where we experience abuse of the site in which case we sometimes manually authorise postings.

5) Can I delete my posting if I find crew or a job?

Yes, simply follow the link in the email confirmation you receive.

6) How will people make contact?

The email address you provide when you post the advert will never be disclosed.  People interested in your listing contact you through this website which then sends you an email from them. You can then make direct contact by email if you choose.

7) Why do you provide this service for free?

We advertise on the site and these adverts generate the necessary revenue to keep the site going. We don't plan to charge for this service.

8) Should I include contact information such as email address or postal address in the body of my advert?

No probably not unless you really want to.  Putting your email address in the body of the advert will probably result in spammers getting hold of this address.
