| Description: | I have been sailing for over 30 years. My brother began buying boats in his 20's and we began racing on Lake Erie in the late 70's and continued until 2005 when we began having trouble finding crew that could take the time off.. I have a Hunter 22 that I put on Champlain in 1988 and have been sailing every summer there since. A few years I have been able to ski Killington in the morning and take a mid November sail on the lake. I have crewed on a few boats from Boston to St Croix, VA to Boston and helped bring my brothers 50' Moorings by Beneteau from FL to Lake Erie. I have sailed the Virgin Islands as I have a friend who owns a 38' Tri-Miran that he charters out of the St Croix Yacht Club. I have experience in very rough weather also. On the last trip I did from Boston to St Croix leaving late around Thanksgiving we got caught in a bad storm, 40 ft waves, extreme conditions. We damaged our boom and propeller and had to lay over in Bermuda for a week for repairs. |
