| Description: | I'm a college educated 28 year old refugee from a career in medical education and practice. I have three years experience sailing in protected waters, as well as some childhood summers sailing the Charles River in Boston, MA. I'm a graduate of a semester long program with the National Outdoor Leadership School based on the Sea of Cortez (Baja, MX), hours of chalk-talk and water based instruction at Community Boating in Boston, MA and the Learn to Sail program at Boston Sailing Center on Boston Harbor. As a competent beginner, I bring conservative judgement and a lifetime of practice in good communication and considerate interpersonal interaction. I love to cook, and have practice cooking in unusual conditions. From backpacking expeditions in the Northeast and abroad to baking American-sytle chocolate chip cookies in the rural town of Mysore, India, I can usually whip up something delicious. Italian and French influences inform my cuisine, and I can accomodate any dietary restrictions. I cook like I sail: A combination of great enthusiasm, moderate experience, and humilility produce good to excellent outcomes every time. I take instruction well, and am commited to the success of our voyage. I speak passable French and rudimentary Spanish, and am a certified Emergency Medical Technician.
