| Description: |
I have just completed my fourth season in yachting and am looking for a fresh challenge, in order to gain a more diverse and wider skills base. Having fulfilled a combination of deck and engineering positions in the past I am looking for something of similar nature in the form of a mate/bosun, assistant engineer role. From my first season I’ve been exposed to the basics of yacht maintenance, and over time developed an eye for detail. Having worked mainly on smaller size yachts (120-135Ft) I have had a wide range of roles, from managing the exterior, standing watches, handling tenders, and importantly gathered some engineering experience along the way. With an engineering role I’m looking to work and learn under an experienced chief engineer, as my exposure has been limited. I am looking for a busy charter yacht where I can improve on existing and learn new skills. The majority of my time has been spent in the south of France chartering, but with one Caribbean season, two Dockwise crossings, a stint in construction and time in the yard, I feel I have been involved in many of the necessary situations, which will benefit my career further down the road. |
