| Description: | I'm 33, male. Have worked as deckhand on British square rigger Stavros S Niarchos (2 months). Loved sail-handling and maintenance aloft. RYA "Competent Crew" but I find experience more important. Logged 2100 nmiles on Stavros. (Might not be very much for some, but I think nobody from my landlocked home-country has, in the last 50 years, sailed this much on board a genuine square-rigger...) Sailed yachts on the Med and on a lake too. Travelled a lot. Good with languages. Used to be a language-teacher, but now a photographer, and not a bad one.... My Stavros-photos were published in National Geographic (Hungarian edition). Free to travel from June to Sept, winter at home - unless something better comes up somewhere South... Fit, hard-working, but easy-going. Tidy, but "low-maintenance" - in a good sense. Non-smoker, team-player. Good at getting along with people - very important on board. Normally found a real fun person to be with. Dedicated to learning all about sailing. Practical attitude, can easily learn any craft or skill. Willing to sail practically anywhere to anywhere. Really. The longer the better. Will join delivery too. Willing to cover flights and share expenses (unless someone insists that I don't. ;) For me sailing (or horse-back riding or hiking) is not so much about racing or exercise, but rather a way of travelling.
