I was responsible for manning the 24 hour control room, where I dealt with several complex alarm systems (fire & intruder), monitored several CCTV cameras. Liaised with emergency services. Occasionally escorting celebrity visits, contractors. Learnt different evacuation procedures. I was also responsible for the evening closure of the Buildings, and morning opening. I regularly manned the ‘main’ base radio communicator in the control room. Other daily duties include working on staff entrance, where I accepted and signed for packages, then notifying via the internal emailing system. I also signed in/out keys to members of staff for various areas of the Building(s).Made/recieved check calls to sister Galleries. Another duty was to often go to another area of the Tate where only Art deliveries would be accepted.
