Description: I will be sailing from Mexico (boat is currently in Guaymas) to Australia leaving Mexico March or April 2012 and spending one season in the South Pacific to arrive in Australia (Bundaberg) no latter than November 2012. The route has not been determined but will emphasize visiting the less visited island groups instead of the traditional milk run route. Options include the Northern Cooks, Tokelau, Tuvalu, and the Santa Cruz islands of the Solomons. The boat is a 35ft fiberglass sloop with very modest creature comforts. Everything about the boat is basic. The boat and skipper have recently completed a four and a half year circumnavigation. A blog about the trip can be found at www.lucidsalt.blogspot.com I am looking for crew to share basic expenses (fuel, food, moorage, check in costs) and who can commit at least three weeks to preparing the boat while in Mexico. Sailing experience is not necessary.
