Hey Everyone. I am a 21 yo senior at the University of Virginia studying business and finance. Three qualities about myself: adventurous, hard working, and living in the moment. I love to challenge myself and experience things that I haven’t before. This past summer I decided to hop in a car and drive cross country with one of my good buddies from VA to CA and back again. I am huge fan of the outdoors and camping and loved the idea of hitting the open road and sleeping under the stars in national and state parks on the way. I held down a job at a golf course(also a big golf fan), working up to 30 hours a week while taking a full course load to cover expenses. What a trip! We hit some great parks and shared some great laughs and stories along the way. Great Smokey NP, Grand Canyon NP, Joshua Tree NP, Great Basin NP, Rocky Mountain NP were a couple of the parks we stayed at. I am also a relentless hard worker. Whether it be playing intercollegiate lacrosse, (which I played for two years at Washington and Lee University) or hitting the books in school I always put in maximum effort. The third quality I stay true to is living in the moment. I have been told by a lot of people to get a “good” desk job and settle down. Right now this couldn’t be further from what I want. I want to go out there and experience something different. I want to do something that will get my heart pumping and that I will be telling stories about 20 years down the road. This is why I want to work on your boat. I want to sail to new places and experience life on the open ocean. I plan on trying to sail for a few months to a year. I can’t say I have any experience working on a boat. However, I’ve been on smaller fishing boats before and I don’t get sea sick. I am easy to get along with, a fast learner, and willing to do whatever you need. - Attend one of the best universities in the US (University of Virginia).
- Played intercollegiate lacrosse for two years at Washington and Lee University before transfering to UVA. |
