| Description: | Application Engineer Officer on Mega Yachts or Cruise vessels! I am a very experienced Danish marine engineer, 45 years old, holding certificate as Chief Engineer STCW III/2 unlimited. Since finishing my education in 1987, I have mainly served at sea in various types of vessels, including Post-Panmax Container vessels, Geared Container feeder vessels, AHTS-, Tanker and RoRo Passenger vessels (>2000 Pax). During my education and career until now, the last 9 years as Chief Engineer, I have gained knowledge and competencies in operation and maintanence of modern motor vessels, including all aspects of administrative routines and reporting. My competencies include, but are not limited to: -Operation and maintenance of 2 stroke- as well as 4 stroke propulsion plants, B&W, Wartsila Sulzer and MaK. -Operation and maintenance of Diesel electric propulsion plants, including ABB frequency converters. -Operation and maintenance of auxiliary machinery onboard motor vessels, Wartsila, MaK, Caterpillar, B&W, Cummins, MTU etc. -Operation and maintenance of Vessels service systems such as, Pumps, Coolers, Boilers, Fresh water generators, Sewage Treatment plants, Oil purifiers, Air condition systems etc. -Operation and maintenance of Electrical distribution systems, High voltage- as well as Low voltage systems. -Automation systems, Rolls Royce UMAS, Lyngsoe, ABB, Konsberg, Siemens, Nor Control etc. -PC based planned maintenace systems, including strong knowledge of AMOS system. -Passenger vessel experience, including STCW passenger vessel certificates. -Crew resource management . -ISM, ISPS and ISO 14001 Environmental management. My career also include some shorebased experience as Technical Superintendent and rebuilding supervisor on Blohm+Voss shipyard, Hamburg. As a person I am very easy to get along with, humoristic, but at the same time I have a serious attitude towards my job. I am good at creating an overview of vessels complex systems, and in critical situations, quickly to come up with constructive solutions. I have a strong desire to change career into the mega yacht- or Cruise industry. I am convinced that, despite my lack of experience in mega yachts, that I can contribute to an efficient, safe and pleasant working environment, due to my technical- and personnal skills.
