| Description: | Two friendly folks in Maine looking for working passage to Finland! One of us has sailing experience, one is eager to learn. Willing to leave from anywhere north of Pennsylvania, and land anywhere from Iceland to the Canaries. Available to sail mid to late June, 2010. Me: Good with ropes & knots, a fast learner, but no sailing experience. 27 and fit. Decent vegetarian cook (willing to cook meat but I'll need some tips!). Experienced wilderness guide with (land) navigation skills by map and compass and advanced wilderness medicine training (WFR, CPR, soon to be an EMT). Responsible, vigilant, friendly, love to swap travel tales! I play the Irish Penny Whistle and speak broken Italian. My friend: A native Finn with experience sailing in the Finnish Archipelago. 27 and fit, also a decent cook. Dependable, caring crew member who has dreamed of an oceanic crossing for years. Tells tales of India and sings Finnish folk songs. Speaks excellent English, Finnish, and French. |
