| Description: | I am looking for a Captain position on a small motor vessel of less than 28metres. Ideally I would prefer to take charge of a private yacht based in France with a Mediterranean cruising schedule, however I would consider other locations. I am yachtmaster qualified with valuable work experience on both large motor yachts and smaller GRP yachts providing a well-rounded knowledge of ship's practices, with a conscientious and mature attitude and work ethic. I have an excellent understanding of all aspects of running a small motor yacht, gained from two seasons working as First Mate/Engineer on a 28 metre motor yacht. I have assisted the Captain from the outset and feel confident using this experience to move on and skipper a vessel myself. I am confident with all basic engineering & maintenance procedures associated with large & small motor yachts, and I am experienced in the use of most yacht maintenance products and techniques on deck, in the engine room and in the interior. I would be happy running a small yacht with one or two other crew members having managed a deck/stewardess on both interior and exterior workloads. |
