| Description: | About Me [edit] I’m looking to obtain a Deckhand position that will enable me to gain more experience and sea time, as well as utilize my skills in the industry that I am passionate about. Over the past two years I have been employed with Philbrooks Boatyard in Tsheum Harbour, Sidney, B.C. Through this employment I gained a great appreciation for working onboard vessels. I decided that a post secondary education would be the first step to further my career in this field. I am currently in the Bridge Watchman’s Program at the BCIT marine campus in North Vancouver and will be fully certified as of July 9th, 2009. I am eager to get back to work, out onto the ocean, and gain sea time. I am confident that my relevant work experience, education, and positive personality make me an ideal fit. I achieve success in work environments where I am challenged, and would prove to be a valuable and loyal employee. |
