| Description: | LOOKING FOR SKIPPERS!! Where: Greece and Turkey When: Summer of 2006. The complete season is May 14, 2006 to October 15th, 2006 (22 weeks). Sailboats: 4 Atlantic 49 vessels (Greece) and 1 Feeling 486 (Turkey). Qualifications: There is no additional crew - just the skipper. Basically the skipper will be responsible for bringing the vessel from port to port, and also to represent G.A.P Adventures, in that they serve as a sort of tour leader while on board. We let passengers know that they can help out if they want, or if they are needed to so this can be arranged on board of course. (See below links and trip dossiers for more detailed info). Payment: Salary for the season is 12,000 Euros for 6 months (May to October) Flights: G.A.P Adventures would cover the return airfare to/from Greece/Turkey (start/end point) Scheduling - The skippers/captains will be scheduled so that the majority of the time they will be working/sailing, and there will be a few independent weeks throughout the season of down time so as to avoid burnout. They are based on 8-day segments, and passengers can get on or off at the different start/end points in the Greek Islands.
