| Description: | I am a 31 year old Aussie returning home from 4 years living and working as a veterinarian in the UK. I am 4 1/2 months into a 6 month trip overland from UK to Australia. Currently I'm in Thailand and have managed to get here by boat/bus/train. I would dearly like to complete my journey without catching a plane. I am available as a crew member from South East Asia to anywhere in Australia sometime in September. I would prefer to depart from Indonesia or East Timor and arrive in a northern Australian port but can be flexible. My only constraint is that I need to reach Aussie shores by September 30 at the latest (work commitments and a wedding). Unfortunately I have no crewing experience. Apart from a few deep-sea fishing trips and driving speed boats that is (if that counts)!! I am also a keen surfer, love rugby and most types of music. What I lack in experience I would hope I more than make up in enthusiasm and work ethic. I am a fast learner and am not afraid of criticism. I would call myself an easy-going person and get on well with almost everyone. I enjoy a beer or 2 (at the right time and place) and a good laugh. I am more than happy to pay my way (within reason). If anyone out there is heading in the same direction, or if anyone else has any advice, even to tell me that I'm dreaming, then please do.
